Drama
Through the use of drama our children are able to explore their own emotions and reactions to events real and imagined. Through developing this understanding they are better placed to empathise with characters and events and thence use this in their writing and comprehension.
Teachers are encouraged to plan opportunities for drama such as through the following techniques:
Role-play
Freeze frame
Thought tracking
Mantle of the expert
Teacher in role
Conscience alley
Group sculpture
Hot-Seating
Creating Soundscapes
