Mayplace School Vision

At Mayplace Primary School we continue to develop an inclusive green curriculum which supports the wellbeing of children and staff alike and in turn promotes a happy and healthy body and mind. Our values of love of learning, leading learning, team and belonging provide a framework, which supports children in academic excellence as well as enabling them to become clear thinkers who are collaborative with a strong moral compass. It is important that our children are accountable for themselves and others and understand where they fit into the wider world. Once they recognise this, they can then develop a greater understanding of the fact that what they do matters. We are proud that Mayplace children are open-minded and respectful of others, regardless of difference. The challenges posed by a curriculum which promotes outdoor learning enables children to take a problem-solving approach and identify hazards and risks in order to fully engage with the natural world in an adventurous way. Our goal is to equip our children with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed choices, which support sustainability and enable them to become active global citizens of the future. At Mayplace we nurture and grow lifelong learners who are driven by high aspirations and supported by staff who recognise their strengths and encourage them to take their next steps.
